After graduating the Graphic Design program at St.Lawrence College 2012 I continued my efforts as a freelance designer and artist. Although the facets of graphic design extend into many different regions I realized my passions guided towards production in tangible and traditional media. Over the past 4 years I pursued various trades positions working with contractors, learning to assert physical labour into design and beauty. From this I have learned and largely self taught myself to expertly construct and frame my works of art.
This experience channelled a confident pursuit into creating paintings and frames for interior designers in Gatineau. From there I was able to expand my visionary pursuits wrapping my creative passion into modern productions applicable to lavish household design.
Understanding this polished quality of workmanship I was able to introduce my artistic production into ‘Kevin Dodds’ Gallery and studio (Ottawa). This was huge for me as coming from a very small town it is a very difficult market to succeed in art production. It was enlightening to see, not only the sales, but remarks of admiration and appreciation. After much practice and production I am now producing professional quality framing, mat cutting and more directly for Kevin.
I believe in adapting to the situation. Making your possibilities as vibrant as one can. Learning and gathering as many functional skills and abilities to better illuminate the wholeness of a worldly perspective. Living naturally in such a way that employs happiness through simplicity. The appeal of activities like rock climbing, swimming, running and the primitive function we all encapsulate around them. Gravitating towards these rids stress so efficiently it leaves you tirelessly striving for more.
